Double Shot: This project was facilitated by Queensland University of Technology in partnership with Q Roasters an ethical speciality coffee business in Stafford, Queensland. The brief was to redesign the way customers are connected to the story behind their morning brew. It was an open brief, that encouraged the exploration of digital story telling methods. Using social media as a platform along side physical artefacts to foster a stronger sense of community and ethics in Brisbane's coffee culture.
The final project that I presented to Q Roaster was a combination of using their existing social media presence to enrich story telling by communicating the captivating and authentic story behind their business. This story would be condensed over several parts that would be turned into animated stories, that are accessed by scanning the QR code on physical artefacts on tables. The physical artefacts also use a combination of linked information and printed stories about the coffee and history of the business. By utilising the existing social media and physical store as touch points for story telling a richer understanding of their favourite brew may provided to customers.
